Sony PlayStation 3
The original price for a PlayStation 3 was higher than any other game console ever released. Much of this cost centered around the brand new Blu-ray technology, which allows for the storage of up to a whopping 50GB of data per disk. The PS3 controllers are also motion-sensitive, which opens up a whole new door of entertainment. A hard drive and Internet access also enables users to download a multitude of files with ease or compete online. After approximately 1.5 years since its release, there have been around 350 games released (or soon-to-be released) for the PS3 and it has sold over 13 million units. Games have never looked so photorealistic.

Nintendo Wii
Nintendo's Wii is a more affordable 7th generation console than the PS3 or Xbox 360, and offers a very unique playing experience. The main selling point for the Wii is its new style of controllers which can detect physical 3D motion. This feature allows the player to interact with games in ways never before possible. The Wii also offers an online service known as Virtual Console, in which users can purchase and download games from older systems and then play them directly on the Wii. Many accessories and additional controller styles have been released. Some 550 game titles have been produced or announced since the Wii's release in late 2006, and 24.5 million Wii consoles have been sold.
